Reset the Oil Change Indicator

These instructions apply to the Chrysler 300 300 /300C (LX) 2004 - 2011. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

The oil change indicator on the Chrysler 300 and 300C (2005–2008) is designed to remind you when an engine oil service is due. After completing an oil change, the reminder can be reset manually using the accelerator pedal. No diagnostic tools are required.

When This Reset Is Used

  • After performing an engine oil and filter change.
  • When the oil service reminder remains active after maintenance.

Oil Change Indicator Reset Procedure

  1. Switch the ignition ON without starting the engine.
  2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the accelerator pedal fully three times.
  3. Switch the ignition OFF.
  4. The oil change indicator is now reset.

Additional Information

  • This reset procedure affects the oil change reminder only.
  • If the indicator does not reset, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
  • This method applies to Chrysler 300 and 300C models produced between 2004 and 2011.
