The third-generation Nissan Pathfinder (R51, 2005–2012) is the body-on-frame Pathfinder built on the F-Alpha platform it shares with the Xterra and the Frontier/Navara of the era. Sold with the 4.0-litre VQ40DE V6 — and from 2008 the 5.6-litre VK56DE V8 — it uses a rotary Intelligent Key ignition and an NVIS engine immobiliser.
