The sixth-generation Volkswagen Polo Mk6 (AW/BZ/AE) (2018–Present) moved the supermini onto the MQB A0 platform, gaining a wider body and the option of VW’s Digital Cockpit instruments. With that electronics depth, several systems expect a reset after maintenance. The oil service reset and the separate inspection counter are cleared through the instrument menu once fresh oil is in. Owners also perform a TPMS reset to relearn or set tyre pressures, a brake pad wear reset when the pads and sensor are renewed, and steering angle calibration after alignment work. Fit a new 12V battery and it should be registered so the charging strategy adapts. The electric windows may also need re-initialising after a battery disconnect. Choose your Polo’s service reset from the procedures listed below.
