Reset the Service Indicator

These instructions apply to the Nissan Murano (Z50) 2004 - 2008. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

The Nissan Murano (2004–2008, Z50) displays a service reminder on the information screen to notify you when maintenance is due. After completing an oil change or routine service, you can reset the reminder manually through the onboard menu — no scanner required.

When to Reset

  • After an oil change or scheduled maintenance.
  • After disconnecting and reconnecting the vehicle’s battery.
  • If the service interval was adjusted and you want to update it.

Manual Reset Procedure

  1. Switch the ignition ON (do not start the engine).
  2. Press the INFO button on the dashboard to enter the main menu.
  3. Select MAINTENANCE using the joystick control.
  4. Press ENTER to confirm.
  5. Select the desired service item (e.g., engine oil, tire rotation, filter) with the joystick.
  6. Press ENTER again to confirm your choice.
  7. Set the new distance until the next service using the joystick.
  8. Press ENTER to save.
  9. Press the BACK button to exit.
  10. The updated interval will be displayed, confirming the reset.
