Home/Toyota/C-HR/Mk2 (X2/XH2) 2023-Present/Reset the Service Indicator

Reset the Service Indicator

These instructions apply to the Toyota C-HR Mk2 (X2/XH2) 2023-Present. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

When the maintenance reminder appears on your Toyota C-HR Mk2 (2023–present), you clear it from the multifunction display using the steering-wheel controls — no garage tool needed. Do the oil and filter change first; the reminder is just a counter.

Reset After the Service Only

The reminder tracks distance and time since the last reset. Clearing it early simply hides it while the oil keeps ageing, so reset it once the work is done.

How to Reset the C-HR Mk2 Maintenance Reminder

  1. Switch the ignition ON (press Start without your foot on the brake so the hybrid system stays in IG-ON, not READY).
  2. Using the multifunction display, select ‘Settings’.
  3. Select the ‘Vehicle settings’ menu.
  4. Select ‘Utility’, then ‘Oil Maintenance’.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the reset.
  6. Switch off — the reminder is cleared.

If It Doesn’t Reset

  • You didn’t confirm the prompt — step through ‘Oil Maintenance’ to the confirmation.
  • A different warning is lit — that’s a fault, not the maintenance counter.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset the maintenance light on a Toyota C-HR?

Ignition on, then on the display go to Settings → Vehicle settings → Utility → Oil Maintenance and follow the prompts.

Do I need a diagnostic tool?

No — it’s done from the car’s own display.

Should the car be in READY mode?

No — use ignition-on (IG-ON), engine/hybrid not in READY, for the reset.

The reminder came back — why?

The on-screen confirmation wasn’t completed. Repeat and confirm.

If a warning light appeared with the reminder, identify it on autodtcs.com. After battery work, see our C-HR Mk2 battery guide.
