These instructions apply to the Kia Venga Mk1 (YN) 2010-2019.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.
The Kia Venga (YN, 2010–2019) uses an indirect tyre-pressure monitor — it watches wheel-speed data through the ABS sensors rather than using pressure sensors in the wheels. That means there is no reset button: after you adjust the pressures or change a wheel, you re-teach the system by driving.
When to Reset
- After checking or adjusting the tyre pressures.
- After changing or rotating one or more wheels/tyres.
- After fitting the spare or a repaired wheel.
How to Reset the Warning
- Set all four tyres to the correct cold pressures shown on the driver’s door-pillar label.
- Switch the ignition on and pull away.
- Drive for about 10 minutes at a steady speed above 25 km/h (15 mph).
- The system re-learns the reference and the TPMS warning light goes out on its own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the TPMS reset button on the Venga?
There isn’t one. The Venga’s indirect system has nothing to press — you reset it by setting the correct pressures and driving for around ten minutes above 25 km/h.
The light stays on after driving.
Re-check that every tyre — including the spare if it is monitored — is at the correct pressure, then drive again. A light that won’t clear usually means one tyre is still low, a slow puncture, or an ABS wheel-speed sensor fault.
Why did the light come on in cold weather?
Tyre pressure drops as temperature falls, so a cold morning can trip the warning. Top the tyres up to the placard pressure and drive to reset.
