The Citroen C3 Mk3 (2016–2024) lets you re-initialise its tyre-pressure monitoring from the on-board menus — a self-relearn with no tool or workshop visit.
Reset it after adjusting the pressures, or after changing or rotating a wheel or tyre.
How to reset the TPMS on a Citroen C3
- Set all four tyres to the correct cold pressure first (see the label in the driver’s door opening).
- Switch the ignition on.
- Touchscreen cars: open the Driving assistance menu, choose Under-inflation initialisation, then select YES.
- Mono-display cars: go to Personalisation-configuration > Define vehicle settings > Comfort > Tyre pressure > Re-initialisation, then YES.
- Cars with a cluster SET button: briefly press SET and choose YES.
- An audible signal confirms the system has stored the new reference pressures.
The warning may take a few miles of driving to clear fully while the system settles. If it returns, re-check the pressures cold and run the initialisation again.
Frequently asked questions
Why won’t the C3 tyre-pressure light go out?
Usually the pressures are still wrong or the re-initialisation wasn’t confirmed. Set every tyre cold to the door-label figure, then re-run the menu step and drive a short distance.
Does the C3 have sensors in the wheels?
Many C3s use an indirect system that reads wheel speed, so there is nothing to pair — the menu re-initialisation is all that’s needed.
If a separate warning light shows alongside the TPMS message, identify the fault code on autodtcs.com.
