After disconnecting the battery or performing electrical work, the automatic function of the Nissan Note’s power windows may stop working. To restore one-touch up and down operation, the windows must be re-initialized manually.
Initialization Procedure
- Switch the ignition ON.
- Make sure all doors are fully closed.
- Press and hold the driver’s window switch down until the window is fully open.
- Release the switch.
- Pull and hold the driver’s window switch up until the window is fully closed.
- Continue holding the switch for at least 2 seconds after the window has closed.
- Release the switch and test the automatic up/down function to confirm it works.
- Repeat the procedure for the passenger-side window if needed.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- If the auto function still does not work, repeat the procedure carefully and ensure the ignition remains ON throughout.
- Perform the initialization for each window that has lost its one-touch feature.
- Make sure the battery is fully charged before performing this procedure to avoid interruptions.
