Home/Suzuki/SX4 S-Cross/Mk2 (AK) 2022-Present/Reset the Service Indicator

Reset the Service Indicator

These instructions apply to the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Mk2 (AK) 2022-Present. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

When the oil-service reminder lights up in your Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Mk2 (AK, 2022–present), you clear it from the instrument-cluster menu using the info knob — no diagnostic tool required. Do the oil and filter change first; the reminder is just a counter.

How to Reset the S-Cross Mk2 Service Indicator

  1. Turn the ignition on (engine off).
  2. Press and hold the info knob for at least 3 seconds to open the display menu.
  3. Turn the knob clockwise and select ‘Oil change’; press the knob.
  4. Select ‘Reset OC’, then press and hold the knob for 5 seconds.
  5. ‘SUCCESS’ appears on the display — the reset is done.
  6. Turn the ignition off.

If It Doesn’t Reset

  • You released the knob too early — the ‘Reset OC’ hold needs a full 5 seconds until ‘SUCCESS’ shows.
  • A different warning is lit — that’s a fault, not the service counter.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset the oil service light on a Suzuki S-Cross?

Ignition on, hold the info knob 3 seconds, select Oil change → Reset OC, then hold the knob 5 seconds until ‘SUCCESS’ appears.

Do I need a diagnostic tool?

No — it’s done from the dashboard knob.

Does the engine need to run?

No — ignition on, engine off.

The light came back — why?

The ‘Reset OC’ hold didn’t complete. Repeat and wait for ‘SUCCESS’.

If a warning light appeared with the service message, identify it on autodtcs.com. After battery work, see our S-Cross Mk2 battery guide.
