When the service reminder appears on your Kia Sorento Mk4 (MQ4, 2020–present), you can clear it straight from the dashboard with the steering-wheel OK button — no diagnostic tool needed. Do the oil and filter change first.
Reset After the Service Only
The Service Interval counter just measures distance and time. Reset it once the work is done, or the next reminder will be wrong.
How to Reset the Sorento Mk4 Service Reminder
- Turn the ignition on (engine off).
- When the service message is shown on the cluster, press and hold the ‘OK’ button for about 1 second to reset it.
- Alternatively, use the multifunction display: open ‘Service Interval’ and follow the on-screen instructions to reset.
If It Doesn’t Reset
- You didn’t hold OK — a brief press scrolls; hold it ~1 second to reset.
- A different warning is lit — that’s a fault, not the service counter.
