These instructions apply to the Chevrolet Tahoe (K2XX) 2015-2020.

The 2015–2020 Chevrolet Tahoe (K2XX) has a direct TPMS with a sensor in each wheel. After a rotation you relearn which sensor sits where in Tire Learning mode — this generation needs an inexpensive GM relearn tool. This is the US-market procedure, shared with the Suburban.
- Set all four tires to the placard pressure (below). Apply the parking brake, ignition ON (engine off).
- Scroll the DIC to the tire-pressure screen, press and hold the ✓ button (or trip stem ~5 s) and confirm yes — the horn sounds twice and TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE shows, starting at the driver-front.
- Hold the relearn tool to the sidewall near the driver-front valve and trigger it until the horn chirps.
- Repeat — passenger-front, passenger-rear, driver-rear. After the driver-rear the horn sounds twice and learning ends. Set all tires to the placard pressure.
Two minutes for the first wheel, five overall, or restart Tire Learning.
Chevrolet Tahoe tire pressures (cold)
GM sets the pressures by fitted size and prints them on the Tire and Loading Information label on the driver-side center (B) pillar — the authority for your truck. Typical full-size-SUV figures:
| Tire size | Front & rear (cold) |
|---|---|
| P265/65R18 | 35 psi |
| P275/55R20 | 35 psi |
| 285/45R22 | 35 psi |
Set them cold and follow your placard.
FAQ
Do I need a tool?
Yes — the K2XX Tahoe uses a GM-compatible relearn tool (about $15). Unlike the earlier GMT900 Tahoe, the key-fob method does not work on this generation.
What order?
Driver-front, passenger-front, passenger-rear, driver-rear.
Light still on?
Re-check cold pressures and repeat; a flat sensor battery needs replacing.
If your Tahoe stores a fault code with the warning light, look it up on autodtcs.com.
