Reset the Tyre Pressure Monitor (TPMS)

These instructions apply to the Dacia Duster Mk2 (HM) 2018-Present. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 5, 2026

If the tyre-pressure light is showing on your Dacia Duster Mk2 (HM, 2018–present) after you’ve adjusted the pressures or swapped wheels, the system needs to store the new values as its reference. The Duster has a proper direct system (a sensor in each wheel), and you reset it from the trip-computer using the dashboard button — then a short drive finishes the job. Here’s how.

How the Duster’s TPMS Works

Each wheel carries a pressure sensor in the valve that radios its reading to the car, so the display can show a low corner. After you change the pressures you tell the car “these are correct now” through the SEt tP (set tyre pressure) function, and it relearns as you drive.

How to Reset the Duster Mk2 TPMS

  1. Set all four tyres to the correct pressure cold — the figures are on the label in the driver’s door opening.
  2. Turn the ignition on.
  3. Press the trip-computer button repeatedly until the display shows ‘SEt tP’ (tyre-pressure set).
  4. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to store the current pressures.
  5. Drive the vehicle for a few minutes to complete the relearn — the warning then clears.

If the Light Stays On

  • Re-check every tyre, including the spare if it’s a monitored full-size wheel.
  • One tyre keeps dropping — look for a slow puncture; the system is doing its job.
  • The light flashes and stays flashing — that’s a sensor fault (a flat sensor battery, or a sensor not matched after a wheel change), which needs a tyre shop’s tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the SEt tP option on the Duster?

In the trip-computer display — press the trip button until ‘SEt tP’ appears, then hold it ~3 seconds.

Do I need a tool to reset the Duster TPMS?

Not for a normal reset — set the pressures, store with ‘SEt tP’, and drive. A tool is only needed if sensors were replaced or swapped.

Why did the light come on in cold weather?

Pressure drops as temperature falls. Top the tyres back to the door-label figure and re-store.

The light keeps flashing — is that low pressure?

A persistent flash usually means a sensor fault rather than low pressure — have the sensors checked.

If a fault code is stored, look it up on autodtcs.com. To clear a service reminder, see our Duster service reset guide.
