After an oil change on your Daihatsu Terios (J2, 2006–2017), the oil-service indicator needs resetting so the countdown starts again. You can do it yourself with the trip-recorder button — no tool needed.
Before You Start
- The indicator refers only to the oil change — reset it after the oil has actually been changed.
Resetting the Service Indicator
- Close all the doors and turn the ignition on.
- Press the trip-recorder button and select ‘TRIP A’ on the odometer display.
- Turn the engine off.
- Press and hold the trip-recorder button, then turn the ignition on.
- Wait until ‘—-’ appears and keep holding until the countdown completes, then release. The system is reset.
If the Reset Doesn’t Take
- Select TRIP A first, then do the hold-and-ignition-on step.
- Keep the button held through the whole countdown.
