- Hold OK longer at ‘Set to 100%’ — a quick press won’t confirm it.
- Engine running? — do it ignition-on only.
- Wrong menu path. The reset lives under Settings → Vehicle → Oil Life Reset; if you can’t find it, scroll fully through the menu rather than stopping at a similar-looking entry.
- Menu won’t respond. If the cluster won’t scroll, the ignition may not be fully on — cycle it off and back to on (engine off) and try again.
- Start over. If an attempt fails, switch off, wait a few seconds, and run the sequence again from step one.
After the Reset
Once ‘Reset successful’ appears, the Oil Life reads 100% and the service / oil-change message clears. The new value is saved straight away — there is nothing else to confirm and nothing to disconnect. The next time you start the car the message should stay away; if it does, the reset has held and the monitor is counting down again from fresh oil.
