These instructions apply to the Nissan Rogue Mk3 (T33) 2021-Present.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.
The third-generation Nissan Rogue (2021 onward) calculates its own oil-change interval and flags it in the vehicle information display — whether you run the 2.5L PR25DD or the 1.5L VC-Turbo three-cylinder. After an oil and filter change you clear the Oil Control System reminder yourself from the display, no tool required.
- Switch the ignition to ON (the engine can stay off).
- With the steering-wheel buttons, open Settings in the information display, then the Maintenance menu.
- Choose Oil Control System and follow the on-screen reset prompt.
- If you had also set an Oil and Filter interval reminder, reset that entry too — the T33 keeps them separate.
A Factory Reset of the display also returns the Oil Control System to its default, but resetting the single item is cleaner. If the reminder returns at the next start, repeat and confirm you chose reset.
FAQ
Why are there two oil reminders?
The T33 can track both an automatic Oil Control System value and a separate Oil-and-Filter interval you set yourself. Reset whichever ones you were using after the service.
Does the 1.5 VC-Turbo change the reset?
No — the menu reset is identical on the 1.5L and 2.5L. Only the oil interval differs (shorter on the turbo).
What oil does it take?
SAE 0W-20 to API SP / ILSAC GF-6. The 2.5L holds about 5.1 qt with a filter; the 1.5L VC-Turbo about 5.0 qt.
Engine off or running?
Ignition ON is enough — you don’t need to start the engine to reach the Maintenance menu.
