If the tyre-pressure warning on your Skoda Superb Mk3 (3V, 2015–present) has come on — after adjusting pressures, rotating the wheels, or fitting winter tyres — you need to store the current pressures as the new reference. The Superb’s system works from the ABS wheel-speed sensors, so the reset is done in the infotainment with a single ‘SET’. This guide shows how.
How the Superb’s TPMS Works
Rather than a sensor in each wheel, the Superb compares how fast the wheels turn (an indirect system). A softer tyre is fractionally smaller and spins slightly faster, and the car flags it. Because it’s comparing wheels, you must tell it the current pressures are correct after any change.
How to Reset the Superb Mk3 TPMS
- Set all four tyres to the correct pressure (cold) — the figures are on the label in the driver’s door jamb.
- With the ignition on, press the ‘CAR’ button on the infotainment.
- Select ‘Adjust vehicle’ (vehicle settings).
- Select ‘Tyres’.
- Press ‘SET’ (confirm) — the system stores the current pressures and the warning resets.
If the Warning Stays On
- Re-check every tyre, including the spare if it’s a monitored full-size one.
- One tyre keeps going low — look for a slow puncture; the system is doing its job.
- It flashes then stays on — a flashing TPMS light points to a system fault rather than low pressure; have it scanned.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a tool to reset the Superb TPMS?
No. It’s an indirect system — set the pressures and store them with CAR → Adjust vehicle → Tyres → SET. No relearn tool needed.
Where exactly is the reset?
In the infotainment: CAR button → Adjust vehicle → Tyres → SET. Menu wording varies slightly by infotainment version.
Why did the light come on in cold weather?
Pressure drops as temperature falls. Top the tyres back to the door-label figure and re-store.
The light keeps flashing — is that a fault?
A brief check at start-up is normal; a light that keeps flashing indicates a TPMS fault — have it diagnosed.
If a fault code is stored, look it up on autodtcs.com. To clear a service reminder, see our Superb service reset guide.
