These instructions apply to the Citroën C4 Mk2 (B71) 2010-2018.

If the colour screen on your Citroën C4 Mk2 (2010–2018) freezes, goes black or loses sound, a forced reboot usually clears it. It doesn’t wipe your radio presets or settings.
How to reset the display/infotainment on a Citroën C4
- Switch the ignition on (or accessory mode).
- Press and hold the on/off (volume) button for about 10–15 seconds.
- Keep holding until the screen goes blank and restarts, then release.
- Allow a minute for it to boot fully.
If that doesn’t work, lock the car and leave it 10–15 minutes so the electronics power down, then try again. A screen that keeps freezing may need a software update or have a connector fault.
Frequently asked questions
Will this delete my C4 radio presets?
No — a reboot keeps your presets and settings. Only a full factory reset clears them.
The screen is dead but the car runs fine — is it safe?
Yes, it’s an infotainment fault, not a mechanical one. Reboot as above.
If a warning light shows with the fault, you can look up the code on autodtcs.com.
