These instructions apply to the Hyundai i10 Mk1 (PA) 2008-2013.

The Hyundai i10 (PA, 2008–2013) has two fuse boxes: one in the engine compartment beside the 12 V battery, and one inside the cabin behind a pull-off cover on the driver’s-side end of the dashboard (the panel beside your knee). The tables below are transcribed directly from the fuse-box lids of a 2011 European 1.2 car — use them as a guide, but always read the legend printed on your own car’s lids, because the assignments and some ratings vary by year, trim, engine and market.

How to change a fuse
- Work out which box the circuit is in: the engine-bay box for high-current and engine circuits, the cabin box for most interior electrics.
- Switch off the ignition and the affected circuit, then open the cover and read the legend on the lid to find the right fuse.
- Pull the suspect fuse straight out with the plastic puller clipped inside the engine-bay box. A blown fuse has a broken metal strip inside.
- Fit a new fuse of the same amperage (same color) — never a higher rating, a screwdriver or a wire bridge.
- If the new fuse blows again there is a fault in that circuit — have it diagnosed rather than fitting a bigger fuse.
Spare fuses and the puller are clipped inside the engine-bay box. A set of numbered SPARE positions (10–30 A) and seven diodes also sit in the cabin box; the diodes are not user-serviceable.

Verified on a 2011 European i10 1.2 (LHD). Layouts and some ratings differ by year, trim, engine and market — always check the legend on your own lids, and never fit a fuse of a higher rating than the one marked. Spotted a mistake for your car? Tell us on the contact page.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the fuse chart for my i10?
On the underside of each fuse-box lid, and in the owner’s handbook — those are the only charts guaranteed to match your exact car. The tables above are transcribed from a 2011 1.2 and are a close guide for the range.
Which fuse is the cigarette lighter / 12 V socket?
The CIGAR LIGHTER fuse (15 A) in the cabin box feeds the front socket; the rear socket is RR P/OUTLET (15 A).
My interior electrics are all dead — which fuse?
Check the high-current B+1 (40 A) link in the engine-bay box, which feeds the cabin box, before chasing individual fuses.
Can I use a higher-rated fuse to stop one blowing?
No. A higher rating lets too much current through and can overheat the wiring. Fit the same rating and, if it keeps blowing, have the circuit checked.
