Replace the Wiper Blades

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 7, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Hyundai i10 Mk1 (PA) 2008-2013.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Replace the wiper blades on the Hyundai i10 (2008-2013) when they smear or skip. The front blades use a plastic locking clip; the rear blade pulls straight off its arm.

Replace the wiper blades

  1. Lift the front wiper arm off the glass and turn the blade until the plastic locking clip is exposed.
  2. Squeeze the clip and slide the blade assembly down the arm, then lift it off.
  3. Slide the new blade on in the reverse order until the clip snaps home, and lower the arm gently onto the glass.
  4. For the rear blade, raise the arm and pull the old blade straight out of the hook.
  5. Push the new rear blade in by its center until it clicks, then tug it lightly to check it is locked.

Do not let a bare wiper arm snap back onto the windshield − it can chip or crack the glass.

Frequently asked questions
