Replace the Cabin (Pollen) Filter

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 7, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Suzuki Ignis Mk3 (ATK) 2016-Present.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

The cabin (pollen) filter on the Suzuki Ignis Mk3 (ATK, 2016–present) sits behind the glovebox and takes about five minutes to change with no tools. A clogged filter weakens the airflow from the vents and lets in smells, so it is worth renewing once a year or whenever airflow drops.

Pulling the cabin pollen filter out from behind the Suzuki Ignis glovebox
Slide the old cabin filter straight out of the housing behind the glovebox.

What you need

A new cabin filter. Suzuki’s part is 95861-62R00; common aftermarket equivalents are MANN FP 22 032, Bosch and Blue Print ADK82516 (roughly 170 × 169 × 29 mm). Note the airflow arrow on the frame before you fit it.

How to replace the cabin filter

Suzuki Ignis cabin filter housing behind the dropped-down glovebox
Drop the glovebox fully down to reach the filter housing cover.
  1. Open the glovebox and empty it.
  2. Release the glovebox so it drops fully down — squeeze the sides inward past the stops (and unclip the damper arm on the right if fitted) so the box hangs open.
  3. You will see the rectangular filter housing cover behind it. Press the tab and pull the cover off.
  4. Slide the old filter straight out of the housing.
  5. Note the airflow arrow on the new filter — it points down (toward the floor). Slide the new filter in the same way, folding it slightly if needed to clear the opening.
  6. Refit the housing cover and push the glovebox back up until the sides click into place.

How often to change it

Once a year or about every 15,000 km is a good rule, sooner if you drive in dusty or heavy-traffic conditions. If the vents feel weak or the windows fog slowly, change it early.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need tools? No. The glovebox and filter cover release by hand.

Which way does the filter go in? Follow the airflow arrow printed on the frame — it points downward on the Ignis. Fitting it upside down reduces airflow.

Does every Ignis have one? Cars with air conditioning have the filter in this location. If the housing slot is empty, a filter can still be fitted.

Keeping up with the small service jobs also keeps your dashboard clear — if a warning light appears, look it up at autodtcs.com.
