These instructions apply to the Suzuki Ignis Mk3 (ATK) 2016-Present.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.
The Suzuki Ignis Mk3 (ATK, 2016–present) uses standard hook-fit wiper blades, so changing them is a two-minute job with no tools. Smearing, chattering or streaks mean the rubber has hardened and it is time for a new set.
Wiper blade sizes
- Front driver’s side: 525 mm (21″)
- Front passenger side: 475 mm (18″)
- Rear: 300 mm (12″)
All three are common hook-type (“J-hook”) blades, so most high-street brands list a direct fit for the Ignis.
How to replace the front blades
- Lift the wiper arm away from the windscreen until it locks upright.
- Turn the blade across the arm so the hook connector is visible.
- Press the release tab where the blade meets the hook, then slide the blade down and off the hook.
- Slide the new blade onto the hook until it clicks, and turn it back in line with the arm.
- Lower the arm gently back onto the glass. Repeat for the other blade.
The rear blade
The rear wiper uses the same lift-and-unclip method with a 300 mm (12″) blade. Depending on the type fitted you either slide the blade off the hook or unclip the whole blade from the arm.
Cold-weather tip
The Ignis wipers park low, below the hood line, so there is no separate “service position” to set. In frosty weather, lift the arms upright while the car is parked to stop the blades freezing to the glass and tearing.
