Specifications, Dimensions and Weights

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 12, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Nissan Rogue Mk3 (T33) 2021-Present.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Full specifications for the third-generation Nissan Rogue (T33, 2021 on), the US-market sister of the Nissan X-Trail. There is a clear split: 2021 used the 2.5L PR25DD, and from 2022 the 1.5L VC-Turbo variable-compression three-cylinder became the sole engine. Fluids and capacities are from the owner manual.

Each column is one specific vehicle — a single engine or motor and, where shown, body style. Dimensions and several weights are specific to that body and drivetrain; other body or powertrain versions differ, so match the column to your own vehicle.

Sources: Owner's manual · Workshop data. Where an owner’s manual or homologation figure exists it takes precedence; workshop data fills only what those omit.

A dash (—) means we haven’t verified that figure for that variant yet, not that it doesn’t exist. Figures are US-market. Towing, payload and weights are best-case/config-dependent — your door-jamb label is the authority.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the VC-Turbo engine?

A 1.5L turbocharged three-cylinder with variable compression (8.0-14.0:1), making 201 hp and 225 lb-ft. It replaced the 2.5L as the only Rogue engine from the 2022 model year.

Which engine is in my 2021 vs 2022+ Rogue?

2021 Rogues use the 181 hp 2.5L PR25DD; 2022 and later use the 201 hp 1.5L VC-Turbo.

How economical is it?

The VC-Turbo returns about 33 mpg EPA combined in front-wheel drive — up from roughly 30 mpg on the 2021 2.5L.

What oil does each take?

0W-20 for both: about 5.1 qt on the 2.5L, about 5.0 qt on the 1.5L VC-Turbo, with a filter.
