The 2014–2020 Chevrolet Impala has a direct TPMS with a sensor in each wheel. After a rotation you relearn the sensor positions with a GM relearn tool. This is the US-market procedure.
- Set all four to the placard pressure. Ignition ON/RUN, and turn on the Tire Pressure info page in Settings.
- Scroll the DIC to the Tire Pressure screen and press and hold ✓ — the horn sounds twice and TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE shows.
- Hold the relearn tool at each valve stem: driver-front, passenger-front, passenger-rear, driver-rear (one chirp each).
- A double-beep after the driver-rear ends it. Switch off; set all tires to the placard pressure.
Two minutes for the first wheel, five overall, or restart.
Chevrolet Impala tire pressures
Cold pressures and tire sizes are on the driver-side B-pillar placard — the authority for your car. The compact spare takes 60 psi; cars on 19- or 20-inch performance tires use a higher pressure for sustained high-speed driving (per the placard).
FAQ
Do I need a tool?
Yes — a GM-compatible relearn tool triggers each sensor in turn.
What order?

Light still on.
Re-check cold pressures and repeat; a flat sensor battery needs replacing.
If your Impala stores a fault code with the warning light, look it up on autodtcs.com.
