Specifications, Dimensions and Weights

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 14, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Ford Mustang Mk5 (S197) 2005-2014.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Full specifications for the fifth-generation Ford Mustang (S197, 2005-2014), by engine — the retro coupe and convertible. Covers the 4.0L V6, the 2011+ 305 hp 3.7L V6, the 4.6L and 5.0L Coyote GT V8s and the supercharged Shelby GT500 (up to 662 hp on the 5.8L). All rear-wheel drive; a 2010 facelift revised the body.

Each column is one specific vehicle — a single engine or motor and, where shown, body style. Dimensions and several weights are specific to that body and drivetrain; other body or powertrain versions differ, so match the column to your own vehicle.

Sources: Owner's manual. Where an owner’s manual or homologation figure exists it takes precedence; workshop data fills only what those omit.

A dash (—) means we haven’t verified that figure for that variant yet. Figures are US-market. GVWR and some capacities aren’t published by the maker for every model, so they may be blank; your door-jamb label is the authority for weights and tire pressures.
