Specifications, Dimensions and Weights

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 14, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Toyota Camry Mk7 (XV50) 2012-2017.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Full specifications for the seventh-generation Toyota Camry (XV50, 2012-2017), by powertrain — the 178 hp 2.5L four, the 268 hp 3.5L V6, and the 200 hp-combined 2.5L Hybrid with its eCVT and a nickel-metal-hydride battery in the trunk. The three powertrains ran unchanged across the generation; the 2015 facelift grew the body about 1.8 inches but left the engines alone. Figures are cross-checked.

Each column is one specific vehicle — a single engine or motor and, where shown, body style. Dimensions and several weights are specific to that body and drivetrain; other body or powertrain versions differ, so match the column to your own vehicle.

Sources: Owner's manual. Where an owner’s manual or homologation figure exists it takes precedence; workshop data fills only what those omit.

A dash (—) means we haven’t verified that figure for that variant yet. Figures are US-market. Your door-jamb label is the authority for weights and tire pressures.

Frequently Asked Questions

What engines did the 2012-2017 Camry offer?

A 178 hp 2.5L four (2AR-FE), a 268 hp 3.5L V6 (2GR-FE), and a 200 hp-combined 2.5L Hybrid (2AR-FXE).

How economical is the Camry Hybrid?

Up to 41 mpg EPA combined on the Hybrid LE (43 city / 39 highway); the XLE’s larger 17-inch wheels drop it to about 40 combined.

Where is the Camry Hybrid’s 12V battery?

In the trunk — unlike the gas Camry, whose battery sits in the engine bay. You jump-start the hybrid from the under-hood terminal, not the trunk battery.

Did the 2015 facelift change the engines?

No — the 2015 redesign was styling and refinement only; all three powertrains carried over unchanged through 2017.

Disclaimer: Specifications vary by model year, trim and options. Confirm critical figures (weights, tire sizes, pressures) against your own vehicle’s door label and documents.

Thinking of different wheels or tires? check if they will fit your Toyota Camry → Our wheel-offset & backspacing tool opens prefilled with this tire's OEM fitment (205/65R16, 215/55R17, 225/45R18) so you can see the change in poke, clearance and speedometer error.
