The Start/Stop system in the Suzuki Swift is designed to reduce fuel consumption by shutting off the engine when the vehicle is stationary. In some situations, such as during maintenance or personal preference, you may want to deactivate the feature.
Before Working on the Engine
Always make sure the Start/Stop system is deactivated before carrying out any work under the bonnet.
Method 1: Using the Button
Press the Start/Stop button on the dashboard.

To reactivate, press the button again.
Method 2: Automatic Deactivation
Unbuckle the driver’s seat belt.
Open the driver’s door.
The Start/Stop function will deactivate automatically.
⚠️ Tip: The system will return to its default setting the next time you start the car, so you may need to deactivate it again if you prefer driving without it.
