The tyre-pressure warning on a Suzuki Swift Mk4 (A2L, 2017–present) clears by relearning as you drive once the pressures are correct. Some Swifts also have a cluster calibration step (handy if you regularly carry a heavy load). Here’s how to clear the light.
Set the Pressures First
Inflate all four tyres cold to the figure on the driver’s door-pillar label. One slightly low corner is enough to keep the light on.
Standard Reset (Relearn)
- Turn the ignition off.
- Wait about 20 minutes.
- Drive normally for about 10 minutes — the system reads the new pressures and the warning goes out.
Optional: Loaded/Unloaded Calibration
If your Swift offers it, you can tell the system whether the car is loaded:
- Park, check the tyre pressures, turn the ignition on.
- Open the trip menu and select ‘Check PCM Odometer’, then press and hold the set button for 5 seconds.
- Scroll to ‘TPMS’, choose ‘Loaded’ or ‘Unloaded’, and confirm until ‘SUCCESS’ appears.
If the Light Stays On
- Re-check every tyre, including the pressure target for a full load.
- A steady-flashing TPMS light means a sensor fault (flat sensor battery or an unmatched sensor after a wheel change) and needs a tyre shop’s tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reset the tyre pressure light on a Suzuki Swift?
Set all four pressures correctly, then turn the ignition off, wait ~20 minutes and drive ~10 minutes so it relearns.
What is the Loaded/Unloaded setting?
A calibration in the cluster menu that tells the TPMS your normal load so it judges ‘low’ correctly.
Why won’t the light go out after pumping up the tyres?
Either a tyre is still slightly off or it needs a few miles to confirm. A persistent flash means a sensor fault.
Do I need a tool?
Not for a normal reset — only if a sensor was replaced or swapped between wheels.
If a fault code is stored, look it up on autodtcs.com. To clear a service reminder, see our Swift Mk4 service reset.
