Nissan Navara (D40) 2005-2015

The D40-generation Nissan Navara was sold from 2005 to 2015 — the double-cab and king-cab pickup known in North America as the Nissan Frontier, where the D40 ran right through to 2021. Most European and Australian D40s run the YD25DDTi 2.5-litre turbo-diesel or the V9X 3.0 V6 diesel and use a conventional transponder key with the NATS immobiliser; North American Frontiers use the petrol QR25DE four-cylinder or VQ40DE V6 and add tyre-pressure monitoring. Most procedures below are platform-common; the petrol idle relearn and the tyre-pressure reset are specific to the North American Frontier and are labelled as such.
