Reset the Tyre Pressure Warning

These instructions apply to the Ford Mondeo Mk5 (CD391) 2014-2022. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

After adjusting pressures or changing a wheel on your Ford Mondeo (Mk V, CD391, 2014–2022), you reset the tyre-pressure monitor so it relearns the correct baseline. It’s done from the steering-wheel menu — no tool needed.

Set the Pressures First

Inflate all four tyres cold to the door-pillar label figures, then reset — the system takes whatever is in the tyres at reset time as ‘correct’.

Resetting via the Menu

  1. Switch the ignition on.
  2. With the steering-wheel controls, select ‘Settings’ and press OK.
  3. Select ‘Driver assist’ and press OK.
  4. Select ‘Tyre monitor’ and press and hold OK until it confirms.
  5. Drive normally — the system relearns and the light clears.

If the Light Stays On

  • Recheck every tyre — one low corner triggers it.
  • Always reset after inflating or a wheel swap so the baseline matches.
  • A genuine slow puncture keeps the warning on — inspect before resetting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset the tyre pressure light on a Ford Mondeo?

Set the pressures, then steering-wheel menu → Settings → Driver assist → Tyre monitor, and press and hold OK; drive to finish.

Is a tool needed?

No — the Mondeo relearns through the menu and driving.

Why did it light up in cold weather?

Cold air lowers pressure; top up to the label figure and reset.

It lit after a wheel change — normal?

Yes — reset so the new wheel becomes the reference.
