Reset the Tyre Pressure Monitor (TPMS)

These instructions apply to the Mazda CX-30 Mk1 (DM) 2019-Present. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

The Mazda CX-30 (DM, 2019–present) uses a direct TPMS with a sensor in each wheel. It relearns automatically as you drive once the pressures are right — there’s no reset button or menu step. Here’s how to clear the light.

Set the Pressures First

Inflate all four tyres cold to the figure on the driver’s door-pillar label.

How to Clear the Warning

  1. With the pressures set, turn the ignition on, then off.
  2. Wait about 20 minutes.
  3. Start the engine and drive for about 5 minutes above 25 km/h (15 mph).
  4. The warning light goes out once the system confirms the pressures.

If the Light Stays On

  • Re-check every tyre — one slightly low corner keeps the light on.
  • A steady-flashing TPMS light (about a minute at start-up) means a sensor fault — a flat sensor battery, or a sensor not matched after a wheel change — and needs a tyre shop’s tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset the tyre pressure light on a Mazda CX-30?

Set the pressures, cycle the ignition, wait ~20 minutes, then drive ~5 minutes above 25 km/h — it relearns on the move.

Is there a reset button?

No — the CX-30’s direct TPMS clears itself once the pressures are right.

Why won’t the light go out after pumping the tyres up?

Either a tyre is still slightly off, or it needs the drive to confirm. A persistent flash means a sensor fault.

Do I need a tool?

Not for a normal reset — only if a sensor was replaced or swapped between wheels.

If a fault code is stored, look it up on autodtcs.com. To clear a service reminder, see our CX-30 service reset.
