The Nissan Armada (TA60, 2004–2015) can show maintenance-interval reminders on its vehicle information display — a “maintenance due” notice for engine oil, the oil filter, tires or a job you set yourself. After the work is done you reset the reminder’s distance to zero so it counts down again. No tool is needed — it is all done from the dashboard.
How the Reminder Works
Each reminder has an interval you set, and the system counts the distance since the last reset. When the interval is reached and the reminder is switched on, a maintenance notice appears the next time you turn the ignition off and then on. Resetting after a service starts the count again from zero.
How to Reset a Maintenance Reminder
Use the INFO button on the instrument panel (models with the colour navigation display use its STATUS/SETTING menu instead — the menu names are the same).
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Press the INFO button and rotate it to reach the Maintenance menu, then press to select.
- Choose the reminder you have just serviced — engine oil, oil filter, tires or other.
- Select Reset to return that reminder’s distance to 0.
- If you want to change how often it warns, adjust the interval distance with the “+” or “−” keys, and make sure the reminder is toggled On.
- The setting saves automatically — the notice will not reappear until the new interval is reached.
If the Notice Keeps Appearing
If a maintenance notice returns straight away, the reset did not register — go back into the Maintenance menu and confirm the distance for that item now reads zero. If you would rather not be reminded for a particular item, toggle that reminder Off in the same menu.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this reset an oil-life or service light? It resets the owner-set maintenance-interval reminder on the information display. The TA60 Armada does not have a separate resettable service-light — this display reminder is the equivalent.
Which items can I track? Engine oil, oil filter, tires, and one or more “other” jobs you define, each with its own interval.
Do I need a scan tool? No — the reset is done entirely from the dashboard INFO or navigation menu.
My Armada has no such menu — why? The reminder feature depends on the display fitted; base clusters without the information display do not carry it, and simply have no reminder to reset.
If a warning light other than a maintenance notice is showing, our sister site autodtcs.com lists engine trouble codes.
