Reset the Tyre Pressure Warning Light

These instructions apply to the Suzuki Ignis Mk3 (ATK) 2016-Present. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 5, 2026

When the tyre-pressure warning light comes on in your Suzuki Ignis Mk3 (ATK, 2016–present), it usually just means the system needs to relearn your current pressures after a check, top-up or wheel change. You reset it from the instrument-cluster menu using the steering-wheel buttons. This guide shows how — including the Comfort and Loaded modes that are easy to get wrong.

When to Reset

  • After checking or adjusting the tyre pressures (including seasonal changes).
  • After changing one or more wheels or tyres.
  • After disconnecting or renewing the battery.

Set Your Pressures First

The reset stores whatever pressures are in the tyres at that moment, so they must be correct first. Set all four (cold) to the figures on the placard in the driver’s door aperture. The Ignis lists more than one pressure set — note which loading you set, because you choose the matching mode during the reset.

How to Reset the Ignis TPMS

  1. Make sure all four tyres are at the correct cold pressure.
  2. Turn the ignition on (engine can be off).
  3. On the steering wheel, press and hold the menu button for 3 seconds to enter the display menu.
  4. Press the scroll button repeatedly to move through the menu and select “TPMS”.
  5. Press the button, then choose the mode that matches your pressures: “Comfort” or “Loaded/Unloaded”.
  6. “SUCCESS” appears on the display — the system is reset.

If the warning persists, the alternative relearn is: turn the ignition off, wait 20 minutes, then drive for about 10 minutes — the light should go out.

Light Won’t Go Out? Work Through This

  • Wrong mode selected: if you set high (Loaded) pressures but reset in Comfort, the system may still flag a mismatch. Match the mode to the actual pressures.
  • A tyre is genuinely low: find and fix the leak, re-inflate, then reset.
  • Light flashes then stays on (not a low tyre): a flashing TPMS light points to a sensor fault, often a flat sensor battery. Look up any stored code on autodtcs.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Comfort and Loaded modes?

They match the different recommended pressures on the door placard — lower for ride comfort, higher for a full load. Select the mode that matches the pressures you actually set.

Where is the TPMS reset on an Ignis?

In the cluster menu: hold the steering-wheel menu button 3 seconds, scroll to TPMS, choose Comfort or Loaded, and wait for SUCCESS.

Why does the light come back a few days later?

Either a tyre is slowly losing air, or it was a little low when you reset. Re-check all four cold pressures and reset again.

Do I need to reset after just topping up the air?

Yes — any pressure change shifts the reference, so reset after any adjustment.

After tyre or seasonal-wheel work it is worth confirming the service reminder is clear — see our Suzuki Ignis service indicator reset guide.
