Replace the Cabin (Pollen) Filter

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 6, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Suzuki Splash Mk1 (EX) 2008-2014.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

On air-conditioned Suzuki Splash (2008-2014) models, the cabin (pollen) filter sits behind the glovebox. Replacing it restores airflow and cuts pollen and odors.

Replace the filter

  1. Open the glovebox and empty it.
  2. Release the glovebox from its stops (squeeze the sides or release the damper arm) so it drops down.
  3. Unclip the filter cover behind it and slide the old filter out.
  4. Note the airflow arrow on the new filter and fit it the same way the old one came out.
  5. Refit the cover and lift the glovebox back onto its stops.

Some base Splash models without air conditioning have an empty filter housing or no filter at all – if there is nothing behind the cover, your car was not fitted with one. Replace a fitted filter roughly once a year or when airflow drops.

Frequently asked questions

Which way does it face? Follow the airflow arrow on the frame, matching how the old filter sat.
