Headlight bulbs on the Suzuki Splash (2008-2014) are reached from behind the headlight in the engine bay. Handle the bulb by its base only.
Replace the bulb
- Open the hood. Locate the rear of the headlight unit; you may need to move a trim cover or the washer bottle neck for access on one side.
- Unclip the round rubber dust cap on the back of the headlight.
- Unplug the connector, release the wire retaining clip and withdraw the bulb.
- Fit the new bulb – commonly an H4 (combined low/high beam); confirm against the old bulb – without touching the glass.
- Refit the clip, dust cap and connector, and test the light.
If you touch the glass, wipe it with alcohol – skin oil shortens bulb life. Replace in pairs so both sides match.
Frequently asked questions
What bulb does the Splash use? The main headlight is usually an H4; sidelight and indicators are separate capless/bayonet bulbs. Check your handbook or the old bulb before buying.
