These instructions apply to the Toyota Corolla Mk11 (E170) 2014-2019.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.
The 2014–2019 Toyota Corolla (E170) has a direct TPMS with a sensor in each wheel. After a rotation or pressure change you re-initialize it with the reset switch — no scan tool. This is the US-market procedure.
- Set all four tires to the correct cold pressure (table below), engine switch off.
- Turn the ignition to ON (engine off).
- Press and hold the tire-pressure reset switch until the TPMS warning light blinks slowly three times.
- Leave the ignition ON a few minutes to store the new pressures, then switch off.
Toyota Corolla tire pressures (cold)
| Tire size | Front & rear |
|---|---|
| 195/65R15 | 35 psi |
| P205/55R16 | 32 psi |
| P215/45R17 | 32 psi |
| Compact spare | 60 psi |
FAQ
Do I need a tool?
No tool to re-initialize after a rotation or pressure change. New sensors need their IDs registered at a Toyota dealer.
The light won’t go out.
Pressing the reset switch doesn’t clear a genuine low-tire warning — correct the cold pressures first, then re-initialize.
Where’s the reset switch?
Low on the dash near the steering column; hold it with the ignition ON until the light blinks three times.
If your Corolla stores a fault code with the warning light, look it up on autodtcs.com.
