Home/Nissan/Note/E12 (2013 - 2017)/Initialize the Power Windows

Initialize the Power Windows

These instructions apply to the Nissan Note E12 (2013 - 2017). For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

After disconnecting the battery or performing electrical work, the automatic function of the Nissan Note’s power windows may stop working. To restore one-touch up and down operation, the windows must be re-initialized manually.

Initialization Procedure

  1. Switch the ignition ON.
  2. Make sure all doors are fully closed.
  3. Press and hold the driver’s window switch down until the window is fully open.
  4. Release the switch.
  5. Pull and hold the driver’s window switch up until the window is fully closed.
  6. Continue holding the switch for at least 2 seconds after the window has closed.
  7. Release the switch and test the automatic up/down function to confirm it works.
  8. Repeat the procedure for the passenger-side window if needed.

Troubleshooting & Tips

  • If the auto function still does not work, repeat the procedure carefully and ensure the ignition remains ON throughout.
  • Perform the initialization for each window that has lost its one-touch feature.
  • Make sure the battery is fully charged before performing this procedure to avoid interruptions.
