Reset a Frozen IntelliLink Screen

Reviewed by the Service Reset editor · Updated October 1, 2026 · How we verify

These instructions apply to the Vauxhall Corsa Mk5 (E/X15) 2014-2019.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

If the IntelliLink touchscreen in your Vauxhall Corsa E (2014–2019) freezes, goes black or loses Bluetooth, a forced restart usually fixes it. It keeps your radio presets and settings.

How to reset the IntelliLink screen on a Corsa E

  1. Switch the ignition on.
  2. Press and hold the Home button and the skip-forward (next track) button together for about 10 seconds.
  3. Keep holding until the screen powers off and the Vauxhall/IntelliLink logo reappears, then release.
  4. Let it boot fully before using it.

If it still plays up, lock the car and leave it for a few minutes until the system sleeps, then reopen. A screen that keeps locking up may need a software update at a dealer.

Frequently asked questions

Will resetting IntelliLink delete my presets?
No — a restart keeps your presets and paired phones. Only choosing “restore factory settings” in the menu clears those.

The screen froze but the car drives fine — is that OK?
Yes, it’s an infotainment glitch, not a drivetrain issue. Reboot it as above.

If a warning light appears with the fault, you can look up the code on autodtcs.com.
