A clogged cabin (pollen) filter is the usual cause of weak airflow, misting windows or a musty smell in a Vauxhall Corsa E (2014–2019). On this car the filter sits behind the left-hand side trim in the passenger footwell, and swapping it is a straightforward owner job.
How to replace the cabin filter on a Vauxhall Corsa E
- Open the passenger door and remove the side trim cover in the footwell (it unclips).
- Open the filter box cover behind it.
- Slide the old filter out, noting the airflow arrow, and slide the new one in the same way.
- Refit the box cover and the trim.
Fit a new filter every year or two, sooner if you drive in heavy traffic or dusty areas. Always match the airflow-direction arrow printed on the filter, or airflow and demisting will suffer.
