These instructions apply to the Audi Q5 Mk2 (FY/80A) 2017-Present.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.
The Audi Q5 (FY/80A, 2017–present) stores its tire pressures through the MMI, so you reset the tire-pressure warning from the screen after inflating the tires or changing a wheel, then drive a short distance to finish — no tools needed.
How to Reset the Tire Pressure Warning (TPMS) on an Audi Q5 (FY)
- Set all four tires to the correct cold pressures (label in the driver’s door jamb or fuel flap).
- Switch the ignition on.
- Open CAR (vehicle menu), then Servicing and checks.
- Select Tyre pressure monitoring, then Store tyre pressures and confirm YES.
- Drive a short distance so the system relearns and clears the warning.
When You Need to Reset
- After checking or adjusting tire pressures.
- After changing one or more wheels or tires, including swapping to winter wheels.
- After rotating the tires.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the tire pressure light still on after resetting?
The system saves whatever pressures are in the tires when you store them. Set every tire correctly first, then store — otherwise it records a low tire as “normal”. A short drive is also needed to finish the relearn.
Does the FY Q5 use wheel sensors?
This generation mainly uses the ABS-based (indirect) monitor, which is why the reset is a simple MMI “store” plus a drive rather than a sensor-pairing job.
