The second-generation Audi Q5 (FY/80A, 2017-present) moved to the MLB Evo platform with the Virtual Cockpit and MMI touch, offered as 35/40/45/50 TDI and 40/45/55 TFSI petrol, 50/55 TFSI e plug-in hybrids and the SQ5. Unlike the 8R, the service interval on this generation resets only with Audi diagnostic software; the tyre-pressure monitor, auto start-stop, wiper service position and electric-window re-initialisation remain owner jobs, and the 12V battery sits in the luggage compartment.
