These instructions apply to the Chevrolet Equinox Mk2 2010-2017.
For other models, please choose your vehicle here.
The 2010–2017 Chevrolet Equinox has a direct TPMS with a sensor in each wheel. After a tire rotation you relearn which sensor sits at which corner — GM does this in a sensor-matching mode with an inexpensive relearn tool. This is the US-market procedure.
- Set all four tires to the placard pressure and apply the parking brake. Ignition ON, engine off.
- Press DIC MENU to the Vehicle Information menu and scroll to the Tire Pressure screen.
- Press SET/CLR to begin, then again to confirm — the horn sounds twice and TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE shows, starting at the driver-front.
- Hold the relearn tool at each valve stem in order — driver-front, passenger-front, passenger-rear, driver-rear — waiting for the chirp. A double-beep after the driver-rear ends it.
- Switch off and set all four to the placard pressure.
You have two minutes for the first wheel and five overall; if it times out, start again.
Chevrolet Equinox tire pressures
Cold pressures and tire sizes are on the Tire and Loading Information label on the driver-side center (B) pillar — that placard is the authority. The compact spare takes 60 psi.
FAQ
Do I need a tool?
Yes — a GM-compatible TPMS relearn tool (about $15) triggers each sensor in turn. It’s a cheap DIY buy.
What order are the wheels?
Driver-front, passenger-front, passenger-rear, driver-rear.
The light stays on.
Re-check cold pressures and repeat; a flat sensor battery will need replacing.
If your Equinox stores a fault code with the warning light, look it up on autodtcs.com.
