Hold the trip button, switch the ignition on (engine off) and keep holding past five seconds until the display shows 000000.

Does the Mazda 2 DE have i-stop?

No — the DE predates i-stop, so a battery disconnect needs no sleep routine. Just disconnect the negative terminal first.
