Lost the one-touch (auto up/down) on your Audi Q2 (GA, 2016–present) after a flat or disconnected battery? The window motor has forgotten its top and bottom limits. You re-teach them by hand in under a minute — no tools. • Work one door at a time from its own switch.

Re-teaching a Window

1. Door closed, ignition on.
2. Pull the switch up to close fully and keep holding 2–3 seconds past the stop.
3. Let go, then push down to open fully, pausing at the bottom.
4. Pull up again to close fully, holding a couple of seconds at the top.
5. Release and check one-touch both ways.

• Hold longer at the top so the controller logs the closed limit — releasing early is the usual reason it doesn’t take.
• Shut the door and make sure the battery is healthy during the learn.
• Re-seat the battery terminals if you’ve just done battery work; a loose earth can wipe the memory again.
• Run the cycle a second time — one clean up-down-up pass sometimes needs repeating before one-touch latches.
• Check the window fuse if the glass won’t move at all, rather than just refusing one-touch.

Once It’s Done

With the limits re-learned, a single tap up closes the glass fully and stops it cleanly at the seal, a tap down drops it all the way, and the anti-pinch reverses the window if it meets resistance near the top. The calibration is stored and only clears if the 12 V supply is interrupted again — so keep this sequence in mind for the next time you disconnect the battery.

Yes. The anti-pinch protection relies on the same stored limits, so re-teaching the window restores it alongside one-touch. Until the relearn is done, keep fingers clear of the opening, because with the limits erased the glass may not reverse the way it should if something is in the way near the top.
