Change the Personal Settings

The Chrysler 300 (LX, 2004–2011) keeps its driver preferences in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center. Using the steering-wheel buttons you can switch the language, decide how the doors lock and unlock, silence the lock chirp and more. Nothing here is a fault — these are settings you set once to suit how you drive.

Before you start

• Turn the ignition to ON/RUN — the EVIC menu will not respond in ACC.

1. Switch the ignition to ON/RUN (engine running or not, both work).

• An option is missing from the list — your trim or equipment does not include it. Rain-sensing wipers and memory-seat recall, for instance, only appear when that hardware is fitted.
• Your settings reverted to default — a battery disconnect or flat battery can wipe some preferences. Just re-enter Personal Settings and set them again.
• The MENU button does nothing — the ignition is probably in ACC. Turn it fully to ON/RUN and try again.
• A change will not stick — make sure the car is stationary and give each press a moment to register before scrolling on.
