These instructions apply to the Honda Accord Mk9 (CR) 2013-2017.

The Honda Accord’s TPMS changed mid-generation. 2016–2017 uses an indirect system you calibrate yourself; 2013–2015 uses direct sensors with no owner relearn. This is the US-market procedure.
2016-2017: calibrate (no tool)
- Set all four tires to the correct cold pressure (table below).
- With the car stopped and in Park, ignition ON: on the basic cluster, press and hold the TPMS button until the indicator blinks twice; on the menu cluster, go Vehicle Settings → TPMS Calibration → Calibrate.
- Drive about 30 minutes at 30–60 mph (cumulative) to finish the calibration.
2013-2015: direct sensors
There’s no owner relearn — correct the cold pressures to clear a low-tire warning; a sensor fault needs a dealer.
Honda Accord tire pressures (cold)
| Tire size | Front | Rear |
|---|---|---|
| 205/65R16 (LX) | 33 psi | 32 psi |
| 215/55R17 | 33 psi | 33 psi |
| 235/40R19 (Touring) | 33 psi | 32 psi |
| Compact spare | 60 psi | 60 psi |
FAQ
Why calibrate instead of using a tool?
The 2016–2017 Accord’s indirect TPMS reads wheel speeds, not sensors, so it learns correct pressures by calibration and a 30-minute drive.
Do it after a rotation?
Yes — calibrate after adjusting pressures, rotating, or replacing tires.
My 2014 has no Calibrate option.
Correct — 2013–2015 cars have direct sensors; just fix the cold pressures to clear a low-tire light.
If your Accord stores a fault code with the warning light, look it up on autodtcs.com.
