The clock on the Hyundai i10 (IA, 2014–2019) is set through the audio system, not a dashboard button. It’s a two-minute job — useful after a battery disconnect or the twice-yearly daylight-saving change, when the time resets or drifts.
How to Set the Clock
- Switch the ignition on so the audio unit powers up.
- Press the SETUP/CLOCK button and select Clock (or Clock Settings).
- Set the hour, then press the TUNE knob to move to the minutes and set them.
- Press TUNE again (or exit the menu) to confirm — the new time shows on the display.
12- or 24-Hour Display
On radios with RDS you can switch format: in the same menu choose Time Format and pick 12Hr or 24Hr. Handy when switching between UK/European 24-hour and US-style 12-hour AM/PM.
Let the Radio Set It Automatically
Many i10 units can sync the time from the radio signal. In the clock menu, set Automatic RDS Time to On and the clock updates itself from the station. If a local station broadcasts the wrong time — some don’t support it — turn RDS time Off and set the clock by hand as above.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did my i10 clock reset to the wrong time?
A disconnected or flat 12 V battery clears the time, and RDS auto-time can pull an incorrect time from some stations. Set it manually and, if it keeps drifting, switch Automatic RDS Time off.
There’s no clock button on the dash — where is it?
There isn’t one. The clock lives in the audio unit — press SETUP/CLOCK to reach it.
How do I change between 12- and 24-hour time?
On RDS units, open the clock menu and choose Time Format → 12Hr or 24Hr.
Can I show the time when the ignition is off?
On units that support it, set Clock Display (ignition off) to On in the same menu.
If a warning light appeared after a battery change rather than just a reset clock, look the code up on autodtcs.com. See also our i10 battery guide.
