These instructions apply to the Mazda 6e Mk1 2025-Present.

The Mazda 6e runs a single original tire size, 245/45 R19 102Y, and uses a direct tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that shows the actual pressure of each wheel on the display. This guide gives the official cold tire pressures and the correct way to clear the TPMS warning after you adjust them.

Mazda 6e tire pressures (245/45 R19)
These are the figures from the car’s own tire-pressure placard. Set pressures cold – before driving, or at least three hours after the car has been parked.
| Load | Front | Rear |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 3 occupants | 2.6 bar (260 kPa / 38 psi) | 2.6 bar (260 kPa / 38 psi) |
| 4-5 occupants or towing | 2.7 bar (270 kPa / 39 psi) | 3.1 bar (310 kPa / 45 psi) |

Keep the left and right tires on an axle within 0.05 bar (5 kPa) of each other. The 6e does not carry a spare wheel – it comes with a tire repair (mobility) kit for small tread punctures only. The original tires are Michelin 245/45 R19.

Is the Mazda 6e TPMS direct or indirect?
It is a direct system: each wheel has its own pressure sensor, and the display shows the live pressure of all four tires, highlighting any low tire in yellow. Because of that, the system works by reading real pressures rather than by counting wheel revolutions.
How to reset the TPMS after adjusting pressures
On a direct system there is no button-hold “relearn”. You correct the pressures and let the car re-read them:
- Inflate or release all four tires to the correct cold pressure from the table above.
- Switch the car on and open the tire-pressure screen on the center display to confirm each wheel’s reading.
- Drive normally for a few minutes. Once the system sees the corrected pressures, a steady low-pressure warning turns off by itself.
Mazda recommends a pressure check and re-learn after about one year or 10,000 km, and whenever you change a tire or wheel.
After rotating tires or fitting winter wheels
If you rotate the tires, the system needs to relearn the wheel positions so the display matches the actual corners. After rotation (Mazda specifies a cross pattern every 10,000 km) the pressure sensors must be recalibrated; a tire or wheel change is best done at a Mazda service center so the sensors are not damaged.
What the TPMS warning light means
A steady light means one or more tires are below the specified pressure – the display shows each tire’s pressure and marks the low one in yellow. A flashing light means a fault with the system or a sensor (including a flat sensor battery); have it inspected. A steady low-pressure light clears once you correct the pressure and drive for a few minutes.
Frequently asked questions
What pressure should the Mazda 6e tires be?
For the 245/45 R19 tires, 2.6 bar (38 psi) front and rear when lightly loaded, rising to 2.7 bar front and 3.1 bar rear when fully laden or towing. Set them cold.
Does the Mazda 6e have a spare wheel?
No. It carries a tire repair kit, a warning triangle and a tow eye – there is no spare wheel or jack. The repair kit handles small tread punctures only.
How do I clear the tire pressure warning?
Set all four tires to the correct cold pressure, confirm the readings on the display, and drive for a few minutes. A steady warning then clears on its own. A flashing warning is a system or sensor fault that needs inspection.
