These instructions apply to the Mercedes E-Class Mk5 (W213) 2016-2023.

Most Mercedes E-Class W213 cars carry a TIREFIT sealant kit under the trunk floor rather than a spare wheel. An emergency spare wheel was an option and, when fitted, also lives under the trunk floor.
TIREFIT seals small tread punctures; it will not fix a sidewall or a large hole.
How to use the E-Class TIREFIT kit
- Lift the trunk floor and take out the TIREFIT kit (sealant bottle and compressor).
- Follow the kit instructions to inject the sealant and inflate the tire.
- Drive gently so the sealant spreads; the tire should reach at least 2.0 bar (29 psi).
- If it will not hold 2.0 bar, the tire is too damaged to seal; call for assistance.
- Keep below 80 km/h (50 mph) on a sealed tire and have it checked or replaced promptly.
If your car has the optional emergency spare, change the wheel on firm, level ground with the car secured, then observe the spare’s speed limit. A sealed or space-saver tire is a get-you-home measure, not a permanent repair.
Does the Mercedes E-Class come with a spare wheel?
Usually no. The W213 normally ships with a TIREFIT sealant kit under the trunk floor; an emergency spare wheel was a factory option on some cars.
