When the maintenance reminder appears on your Toyota Yaris Cross (XP21, 2021–present) — the Hybrid — you clear it from the multifunction display using the steering-wheel controls. No garage tool needed. Do the oil and filter change first.
Reset After the Service Only
The reminder tracks distance and time since the last reset. Clearing it early simply hides it while the oil keeps ageing, so reset it once the work is done.
How to Reset the Yaris Cross Maintenance Reminder
- Switch the ignition ON (press Start without your foot on the brake so the hybrid system stays in IG-ON, not READY).
- Using the multifunction display, select ‘Settings’.
- Select the ‘Vehicle settings’ menu.
- Select ‘Scheduled Maintenance’.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the reset.
- Switch off — the reminder is cleared.
If It Doesn’t Reset
- You didn’t confirm the prompt — step through ‘Scheduled Maintenance’ to the confirmation.
- A different warning is lit — that’s a fault, not the maintenance counter.
