These instructions apply to the Vauxhall Corsa Mk5 (E/X15) 2014-2019.

The Vauxhall Corsa E (2014–2019) clears its service and oil-life reminder through the Driver Information Centre, using the stalk buttons. No tools are needed on the owner method below.
Do this after an oil and filter change, or whenever the spanner/InSP message stays on the display.
How to reset the service indicator on a Vauxhall Corsa E
- Switch the ignition on, but do not start the engine.
- Press the MENU button on the end of the indicator stalk.
- Scroll through the menu until Vehicle information system appears, then press the button once to open it.
- Scroll through the menu until Oil Life System appears, then press the button once.
- The service indicator is now reset and the oil-life figure returns to 100%.
- Switch the ignition off to store the change.
If the reminder reappears straight away, the counter did not store — repeat the steps with the ignition on and the engine off, and make sure you confirm the Oil Life System entry rather than just scrolling past it. On some trims the same menu is reached with the buttons on the steering wheel instead of the stalk.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Corsa E service reset need a diagnostic tool?
No. The oil-life reset is an owner job through the MENU and Oil Life System entry. A tool is only an alternative method, not a requirement.
What is the difference between the oil-life reset and a full service?
The reset only clears the reminder. It does not change the oil or carry out any service work — do that first, then reset.
If a warning light stayed on after the reset, you can look up the fault code behind it on autodtcs.com.
